Regular

Haleem as usually prepared, with toppings.

Better

Same haleem — already protein-dense; moderate bread on the side.

Ingredients

  • 500 g Beef stew meat
  • 1 cup Bulgur wheat dry
  • 1 cup Red lentils dry
  • 4 tbsp Ghee
  • 2 Red onion raw
  • 2 tsp Garam masala
  • 2 Garlic clove
  • 20 g Fresh ginger

Instructions

  1. Simmer the beef with ginger and garlic in water until very tender; shred finely.
  2. Separately cook the bulgur and lentils until soft, then blend to a smooth, thick consistency.
  3. Fry sliced onions in ghee until deep golden and crisp; set aside.
  4. Combine the shredded beef with the wheat-lentil mixture and stir in garam masala.
  5. Simmer to your desired thick consistency and top with the fried onions to serve.

Better steps keep the same dish — one useful change, not a different recipe.
