A familiar favorite
Cheeseburger
The cheeseburger as usual — bun, patty, cheese, toppings. At a restaurant order it standard; at home cook the patty and assemble the same way.
Make it work for you
Regular or Better
Same food. You choose the version.
Regular
The cheeseburger as usual — bun, patty, cheese, toppings. At a restaurant order it standard; at home cook the patty and assemble the same way.
Better
Same cheeseburger. Use a larger or double patty for more protein, or keep the burger and skip the large fries and sugary drink. Still a cheeseburger — not a turkey lettuce wrap.
More options (protein, portion, fiber)
More protein
Same structure, larger or double patty. Still clearly a cheeseburger.
Smaller portion
Same cheeseburger. Eat half or skip the side. Recipe unchanged.
More fiber
Same burger. Add extra tomato, onion, or a side salad — do not remove the bun.
Better = same dish, one useful change — not a different meal.

Ingredients
- 300 g Ground beef 80/20
- 2 Burger bun white
- 2 American cheese slice
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Mustard yellow
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 30 g Iceberg lettuce
- 60 g Tomato raw
- 20 g Red onion raw
- 300 g Ground beef 90/10
- 2 Burger bun white
- 2 American cheese slice
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- 1 tbsp Mustard yellow
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 30 g Iceberg lettuce
- 60 g Tomato raw
- 20 g Red onion raw
Instructions
- Season the patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook in a skillet or on a grill over medium-high heat, about 3–4 minutes per side for medium, or to your preferred doneness. Add cheese in the last minute so it melts.
- Toast the buns lightly if you want.
- Assemble: bottom bun, toppings, patty with cheese, condiments, top bun.
- Serve as a full burger with your usual side.
- Same method as Regular — same buns, cheese, and toppings.
- Use a larger or double patty (or two thinner patties) for more protein, still cooked the same way.
- Or keep a single patty and skip a large fries/sugary drink so the burger stays the center of the meal.
- Assemble exactly like a normal cheeseburger. Do not turn it into a lettuce wrap.
- Serve so it still looks and eats like the burger you wanted.
Better steps keep the same dish — one useful change, not a different recipe.
